Har Har Har.
I had an idea.
And it actually is quite spontaneous.
But let's see how many of you are interested.
Digital Artists/Traditional Artists only. (I still love all of you. <333 )
Goal: Set the timer for 2 hours.
Paint as much as you can, adding whatever detail you can/want
And go!
If you finish it sooner than 2 hours, please include in artist's comments. :]
Please don't take advantage and work on something longer, and then lie about it. That isn't cool. =/
Theme: Anything that you really love, genre-wise. Sci-fi, fantasy, romance, etc. Just nothing explicit that kids would have to shield their eyes to. Some violence and blood is OK, just not where, yanno, heads are ripped off and intestines are strewn across the scene. Use your god-given common sense to judge.

Some Rules/helpful tips:

You can use an existing sketch/line-art, without the time to draw it counting against you. This means you don't have to set the timer to sketch it out. Doing this will give you better "lines" to follow.
The reason I'm allowing this is because the contest is going to be judged on how well you speedpaint and your creativity. Speed-painting is a great method of practicing digital/traditional art, because the faster you can complete something by a due date, the better (for business, for commissioners, for fans, for personal deadlines, etc.) It gets your eye trained to know what, when, where, and how. *
sandara is the master (in my eyes) at speedpainting. Just look at her work for the Good Vs. Evil contest (which WON, by the way) - and she did it in only a couple hours.

(If you want/need to) Read tutorials as much as you can, to give you better idea of what to do and how to approach your work before you even start.

If you can't finish it before 2 hours, that's ok; if the idea of the picture is truly enticing to look at, you still have a good chance. Creativity. Creativity. Creativity.

You can submit up to 2 entries per person. So if you're not happy with the first go, you can try again. Knock yourself out and good luck! :]
Prizes:
Okay, as many know, I've been out of a job for like 8 months, and every place I go to isn't hiring/refuses me. So I'm in a huge pinch when it comes to money. Ergo, no monetary prizes, no subscriptions. My apologies D:. This is really just for fun, so yeah..
1st place: Featured on my shoutboard, portrait of one of your characters from yours truly. :]
2nd place: Featured on my shoutboard, speedpainted sketch of one of your characters.
3rd place: Featured on my shoutboard, sketch from yours truly. (Heck I can mail you the sketch if you want! XD)
Submission date: July 5
Deadline: July 22
That gives you 2 weeks and 2 days to submit. :]
How to submit: Simply upload your entry in your gallery or scraps and send a note to me with the entry linked. :]
Yea or nay, good friends?
